Dear fellow H-boat sailors,

in the IHA meeting during the Worlds in Neustadt, me Jyrki Lindström, had the honor to be chosen as the new IHA president. Humble minded, I want to thank all the national associations for their vote for my presidency. I have very big shoes to fill after Hannes Heinz. Hannes served as for the past 11 years as the president with his unique style.
I want to officially thank Hannes for his great job for our class both in Germany and internationally.

I will do my most and my best to serve our great class and try to take in to consideration the different needs in every H-boat country around Europe and the whole World.

I will start acting in full scale the 1st of January 2012, when the new book keeping year starts. I have though started some preparations to visit different national associations to learn more about them, to be able to do thing satisfactory to all countries.
It gave me great pleasure in the IHA meeting to get very experienced people around me.

Michael Pochhammer as vice-president, Thomas Kausen as the technical chairman and Jürgen Tiemann as the chief measure will all give their knowledge about our class to our use for the best of H-boat class in the future.
I also want to take the opportunity to congratulate the new World Champions and my good friends Claus Höj Jensen, Karl Kristensen and Frederik Dahl Hansen for their suburb sailing in Neustadt. Well done!
I wish all the best to all of you H-boat sailors for the rest of the season. Let´s make our great and strong class even stronger in the coming years.
